8 August 2016 - We all need an occasional reminder of the bigger picture, lest we forget.  The local concern is lack of rainfall:  there should be a lake in this photograph.  Instead my peeps have had to jerry-rig "steps" from sections of the floating dock...no chance of them floating away!  My species has a minimal carbon footprint (except when I am abducted and thrust upon an airplane), and I am rather proud of our ability to walk about on little cat feet.  There is an evolutionary reason for our soft tread, of course,  but it also offers a fitting metaphor for the ideal relationship between living things and our earth.
