3 August 2016 - Whoever saw the utility of a nightstand has my thanks.  I don't actually sleep here (a bit too firm for me), but if I need to summon the shorter peep (e.g., my food bowl is getting low or I am feeling lonely), it offers the perfect place.  Her typical nocturnal position puts her head just a paw away to the left, allowing me to gently poke her into consciousness... without straining muscles or exposing myself to her waking flails.  There is a similar arrangement of furniture on the other side of the bed, but the taller peep is a very sound sleeper.
