Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

14 September 2020 - Caught in the act, I wish to explain my actions:  I am conducting research into the periphery meaning of "table".  There is that piece of furniture at which the shorter peep sits, shortly upon arising in the morning.  I have been informed, with unsatisfying justification, that its top is off-limits.  Here is another similar piece of furniture:  four legs, flat upper surface.  But does it belong to the set of verboten objects scattered about our domicile?  I possess an inquiring mind, and so I am compelled to ask the question... even if it is inconvenient (and might reveal inconsistencies in peep rule-making).  My investigation concludes with a frown from my companion... but not before I had finished my inspection.  And my nose informs me that food not so long ago was present here.

word of the day - purrhibit, to forbid something (we cats like to think of it as a "suggestion")
