Me-usings and Me-emories
1 Sepember 2020 - I'm getting soft(er) in my old(er) age: having begun life outdoors, I now am loathe to venture into rain... it's messy and gets my paws wet, making routine clean-up more time-consuming. How quickly we come around to a cushier existence! But we cats, already covered from nose to tail tip in luxurious fur, think it ostentatious to don a hair shirt. Just who are you trying to impress?? There are better, for all concerned, ways to express (and earn) worthiness. Without tooting my shofar, I quietly go about my duties, padding the perimeter, keeping interlopers outside our walls. Chaos never ceases, so my job is necessary and assured. And statistically speaking, crime takes a vacation during monsoons.
