Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

9 September 2020 - Normally the shorter peep would pick a seat that sways, but since at that particular time of need it was occupied (by me) she plopped on this nearby sofa.  I was already familiar with this piece of furniture (nothing gets past my nose), but it is a far more interesting spot when it contains a peep.  Not wanting to appear standoffish, I joined her.  She has an unfortunate habit, not that I wish to be critical, of cluttering her lap with nonessential items.  Some of these things have a modicum of toy potential, but on balance I would prefer nothing between me and a nap.  Another characteristic that I am attempting to modify, is her seeming inability to sit still for very long.  Invariably I am drifting toward the shores of Nod when like a sudden gust of wind, she flips my boat.  Whatever could be more important than my rest?

word of the day - purrsonable, having an agreeable, pleasant bearing (which is why at times I retreat under the bed)
