Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

11 September 2020 - Some parts of the world call it soccer, other areas say football.  I prefer the latter because it is succinctly conveys how I play the game.  The peeps have provided all sizes, and colors, of those little orbs, and the one that is my current favorite (I reserve the right to change my mind) is one of the smaller examples.  But it makes a gratifying thump on the floor, and ricochets like a chased squeep.  An additional perk is that the shorter peep will sometimes join me... it is good to have a teammate, even if she is slower and less agile.   And without my asking, she volunteers to find/fetch the "out-of-bounds" ball, once I have called a time-out.  I can't vouch that she inspires my play or brings good luck, but she is as close to a mascot as I've got.
