10 Feb 2024 - Although I wouldn't say that our household is back to normal, I don't feel as if I need to keep a constant set of eyes on the shorter peep.  More and more she is abandoning the contraption to go her own way.  This development is a relief to me, since I have been wary of its presence from the start.  A domestic cat must always be alert when near peep feet (one might inadvertently step on a tail or deliver a glancing blow to the body), but add to the mix other appendages to be watched and the task can feel stressful.  I like this sort of progress.
