6 July 2017 - Something about this photography suggests autumn to me... perhaps it is the brown leaves scattered on the porch (take note, peeps).  But really the weather has been quite lovely, if one ignores the first three days.  And besides, that was long ago, and we all seem to quickly forget (or learn from) what happened in the past.  With all this talk of living in the moment (and I am a practitioner of said), who can be held accountable when bad stuff goes unchecked?  Certainly not I!  There are benefits to life on the perimeter, observing the shenanigans, perhaps even finding humor in the inanity.  This detached attitude is probably possible since I am counting on future lives to average out the low points.  All I really want is a smooth horizontal.
