5 Sep 2026 - No pillow and a tad too narrow, but this portal ledge will do for the moment. The shorter peep has deemed the weather too unsummery to allow me access to my personal screened deck, so this spot does give me a view of the lake side of our domicile... although what in its right mind would be out there plotting a breach of our defenses? The answer to that gives me some assurance, but not enough to totally let down my guard. So here I am, gazing upon the drippy gray and wishing for an appearance by Mr. Sol.
